Every second Saturday, Daniel Sky takes the stage at Ornithology Jazz Club for his monthly late-night residency, performing from 11PM to 2AM—followed by a jam session that keeps the music going well into the night.

A trumpeter, composer, and educator based in New York City and Brooklyn, Daniel moves fluidly between acoustic and electric setups, bringing a modern bop sensibility to each performance. He is currently promoting his debut album Introduction to The Sky while leading his Modern Bop Quintet and appearing as a sideman in some of NYC’s most storied jazz venues.

Daniel’s career spans international recognition, including a grant from the Ministry of Culture in Poland, awards from DownBeat Magazine, and multiple competition wins. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and Berklee Global Jazz Institute, he has studied under masters like Joe Lovano and Danilo Pérez, and performed alongside artists including Kenny Werner, Dayna Stephens, Benito Gonzalez, and the late Ralph Peterson.
